Terms of Service

Last updated: June 12, 2026

These terms govern your use of Dibs at calldibs.club. By creating an account or placing a dib, you agree to them. They are written in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask us through the support page before you agree.

1. What Dibs is

Dibs is a booking assistant. You tell us the place you want, your party size, and the dates and times that work. We watch availability and, when a matching spot opens, we complete the reservation in your name. Dibs is currently in private beta and access is by invite only.

2. You authorize us to book for you

When you place a dib, you give Dibs permission to act on your behalf: to check availability and to make a reservation in your name, using the details you provided, at the venue you chose. We never book anything outside the windows you set.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate details. Bookings are made in your name.
  • Show up to reservations we secure for you, or cancel them according to the venue's own policy. No-shows hurt you, the venue, and every other member.
  • Keep your login credentials to yourself.
  • Don't use Dibs to resell reservations, hold spots you never intend to use, or harm venues in any way. We can suspend accounts that do.

4. Invites

Membership is by referral code. Each member gets a personal invite code that two people can use. You are welcome to share your code with people you trust, but selling invites is not allowed.

5. Pricing

Dibs is free during the private beta. We don't collect any payment details right now. If that changes, we will tell you clearly before anything costs money, and the principle will stay the same: if we don't land your spot, you don't pay for it.

6. No guarantees

We work hard to claim your spot, but availability is outside our control. A dib is not a promise that a reservation will be found. Dibs is provided as is, in beta, and things may occasionally break. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us, which during the beta is zero.

7. Venues

Dibs is not affiliated with the venues or booking platforms you point it at. Reservations are always subject to the venue's own rules, and the venue relationship is yours: a booking made through Dibs is the same as one you made yourself.

8. Ending things

You can stop using Dibs at any time and ask us to delete your account through the support page. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service, and we may wind down the beta itself with reasonable notice.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as Dibs grows, for example when paid plans or new channels launch. When we make a meaningful change we will note the new date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, email you.

10. Contact

Dibs is run by a small founding team during the beta. The fastest way to reach us is the support page. A human reads everything.
